How about this rebuttal?
When the Bushies talk about John Kerry's voting record, particularly the weapon systems, He or surrogates can just say, "George W. Bush is running as though it were 1992 or 1996. As for me, I prefer to talk about the issues that have confronted us over the past three years. If he want to talk about the past, then we can talk about Harkin Oil, we can talk about drunk driving, we can talk about National guard service, etc"

4. Kerry DOES need to support his votes...
...but that comes with being a U.S. senator, something Bush never was. And I'm curious to see how Kerry will handle it. He surely has his work cut out for him, to put it mildly. In the meantime, if the Repub strategy is really aiming to dig into the past, then, hell YEAH, everything's on the table. They can't really think that's a smart plan---can they?

3. not bad....
but there is another argument Kerry can make. Bush's father while he was president asked congress to make cuts with regards to the weapons systems. He supported Bush's father!

5. Try this one...
That's so 9-10 of you to bring that up. I thought 9-11 changed everything? And who was president that day? Why did President Clinton, who was in Australia, and all flights into the US were cancelled/grounded, make it to NYC BEFORE bush*? Why could bush* not be bothered to show up for 2 days? Why did he sit in that school and put the lives of over 200 people in harm's way, a lot of which were innocent schoolchildren, instead of leaving and taking charge of the situation immediately? Why did he skip around the coutnry visiting military bases AFTER the skies were cleared?

Why do you not want any answers to those questions from THAT DAY about bush*, but dick around with senate votes by Kerry 6 and 9 years prior? When did you become un-American, pre-911 or post-911?
