Does Filegate Extend to the White House? -Wash Post
Does Filegate Extend to the White House?

Lyle Denniston of the Boston Globe reports: "Four Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are pressing the Bush administration to disclose any role government officials may have had in secret snooping by Republican aides on the computer files of Democratic committee members. . . .

"In a letter to Albert R. Gonzales, counsel to President Bush, the senators said 'questions arise as to whether anyone at the White House was involved or aware of these activities or made privy to information obtained through this course of conduct.' "

Here's the text of that letter.

Dear Judiciary Committee,

Cordially,

The White House

2. They'd never say no...
They'd just attack the charge as "nonsense."

Which, of course, means it's true.

6. Actually, they did just that.
plus the response from the 2nd poster, too, just to be safe.

At the same time.

Can never have too many responses to cover your ass, they must think.

4. Jeesh, how many more investigations need to occur before
before the approximately 40% of those who will vote for the chimp wake up?

I feel like it has been one investigation after another. I am just waiting patiently for the results.

5. Hasn't been enough investigations
It's been one LIE after another...

It's been one CRIME after another...

And there's been NO investigation even CLOSE to the scale of that when Clinton got oral sex.

7. I agree, any one of the lies or crimes that can be proven should show
Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 01:22 PM by lovedems
the chimp and his abetters in prison but what are we to do? It is a republican controlled congress so it's not like there is alot of cooperation to see that the truth comes out. That is why Clinton got smeared, there was a republican controlled congres who was out to get him. This congress is out to protect the chimp. It is up to the voters to send monkey boy back to Crawford and the appearance of all the investigations should be enough for the voters to realize this administration has something to hide that is very damaging. That 40% need to wake the hell up.

12. For his core voters
chimpy could bee seen on video molesting children and they'd say it's just proof that he loves kids. I don't know what would turn enough of them off voting repug in November or just staying home.

9. Democratic Congress in 2005.--Let the bloodbath begin.
Investigate investigate.

$110,000,000 spent on hearings and investigations of Clinton Administration.

I will settle for same amount on Bush Adm.
