7. Actually...

It's not really good for teenage girls. Where I grew up, local all-girls Catholic school, St. Lucy's, was known as "St. Juicy's." So many of the girls were so starved for boys and didn't know how to act around them. Sadly, a lot of them got used by the local neanderthals for sex and a great proportion of them ended up pregnant before graduation. I had a few friends there and I couldn't believe how crazy they got when they saw guys!

I don't blame the school or their parents, but I think the lack of sex education, the Catholic Church's demonization of sex, and the lack of male students contributed to the mess.

I don't think it's a good idea to separate the sexes in high school.

My parents wanted to send me there when I was in Junior High, after I dropped out of the Catholic Church. I threatened to get a mohawk (was a little punk then) and smoke in class so I'd get expelled. They sent me to the public school. ;)

9. You're funny!

Wish I had thought of that; but my parents would have known I would be too chicken to actually go through with it ;-) So I did end up in a Christian school, albeit co-ed. Still, the "forbidden" acts only encouraged much of the student body, and like your experience, I saw many girls "go to another school" (pregnant).

God, the similarities between this administration and those that follow Osama are really transparent.
