Preemptive Information to Wake the Sleeping Public
Have you noticed that one of the few ways to wake the sleeping zombies is to advise them ahead of time of something that will break mainstream later (even though when it does appear, it will be couched in White House spin)?

Anti-political friends refuse to care about anything political -- they may feel obligated to vote but not to listen or learn.

But I mentioned to some on Monday about the Haitian-caretaker's story in the Australian news, and on Tuesday they were awake when discussing the controversy of Aristide's abduction. They were forewarned.

Mainstream news feels like a passive drug lulling us to sleep..but planting a little hard cold fact ahead of time seems the only effective way to get people engaged.

1. you're right
I've had the same experience - Mention to a co-worker some tidbit about issue 'x', and the next day (or after relevant news breaks) same co-worker comes up all excited saying how they saw issue 'x', and wow, isn't that something!

I've been playing this game for awhile in my place of business...randomly pop into someone's office and make a "prediction". Making sure they hear me clearly so they can recall it later. They usually won't find out for themselves once the story breaks, so I have to go back and say "remember when I was telling you about 'x'? Yeah well, check out today's Times"

It starts out being an idle amusement: "oh, that Captain Clark and his theories!". But after having my "predictions" come true fairly consistently, they begin to start REALLY paying attention when I come round the office and drop some new info on them. Some of my co-workers now even come to ME when they see something that raises a flag.

Hey, whatever works, by any means necessary.

Yes, the Sheeple are asleep when you view them as a unit.

But one-to-one, they CAN be nudged awake. Not by rigorous shaking, but by insidious gentle nudging

Thanks for sharing this, lostnfound, its good to know there's others out there doing the same.

2. That is an excellent strategy
I've been sort of pursuing it but not in the way you guys are speaking of.

Gonna try that tack.

Thanks!

3. something I was gonna add
and something to keep in mind...is that I think part of why this approach can work is vanity...people like to feel like they are "in on something"... they like to feel they know something most people do not. It allows them to speak as an "authority"

Its something they can in turn use to impress their dentists and brokers and bus drivers etc...who in turn puff out their chests and whisper a "prediction" to those who they want to impress.

its viral.
