Any University of Texas students around?

If so, please know that Texas Rep. Geanie Morrison is being interviewed on campus today in Batts Hall room 12. For those who do not know, she is a Repug who was on the redistricting committee and she fought hard to allow public colleges to set their own tuition rates (resulting in much higher rates for students). Anyway, if any of you want to discuss these issues with her, the interview should be over around 2pm. She will walk out of room 12 in Batts hall and you can ask away.

1. I just applied to UT

I don't know anything about the school however what are some things I should know? I'm going down to Austin next week to check it out.

Here are some general things.

It's big. There are 50,000 students.
It is one of the more liberal schools in Texas (not saying much).
There are some great museums either on campus and right near campus.
Austin is a fantastic place.
