It disturbs me that thugs seem to be taking over power in Haiti, now that Aristide is gone.
And now "Baby Doc" wants to return there.
(Yeah, just to live in retirement, yeah sure.)

But it bothers me that Aristide keeps getting painted as "honest," and such.

Aristide is a crook. To put it mildly.
A couple years ago I saw a PBS program looking at Haiti that showed how corrupt and nepotistic, not to mention cronyist his gov't was.

His last election was so badly rigged even Jimmy Carter disavowed it.

It's LONG past time the brutal thugs Bush supports get the boot, and a TRULY elected president becomes Haiti's president.

and our last election - can you name all of the criminals in the present bush administration - those pardoned, etc. A lot of them were brought in under the radar screen and didn't have to have approval - such as Elliott Abrams.

If it was up to me, Bush, Cheney, the whole stinking bunch would be under indictment right now for fraud, murder, treason, etc.

Aristide was legitimately elected, as was Venezuela's Hugo Chavez. These leaders may not be to Bush's liking but if we claim to support democracy, the decision to remove them from power should come from voters in their respective countries.
