Would this idea be too crass?
A photoshopped pic of Bush standing on the 9-11 rubble with one of those red-white-blue banners photoshopped into the background. Caption on the banner: Mission Accomplished.

4. Now, THAT is crass.
Your image & mine aren't mutually exclusive, of course. The world is big enough for both.

8. So the Jews who hated the Nazis were slowly poisoning themselves?
Beats the quick death of the Zyklon-B gas.

Seriously, once you see that you foes are ruthless, ethics-less scum who will do ANYTHING to seize and keep power, including ignoring the rules that you are expected to assiduously play by, what do you do?

Keep playing by Marquis De Queensbury Rules while your opponent drives a knife in your bowels while you stutter, "But, but knives are ILLEGAL in a boxing match."

The ONLY thing these Busheviks understand is hate and actually being stopped. Let 'em get away with ANYTHING and it becomes "law".

For the longest time I thought as you do. Finally, with the Bloodless Coup of 2000, I finally understood what Free America was up against.

And yes, I hate the "kinder and gentler" Nazi, mostly because I do not think that they will remain so after a couple decades of unchecked hegemonic power.

Go on over to Freeperville. It won't take long before you hear a Brownshirt lovingly fantastize about the day the unfettered random murder of liberals will be accepted and proper. Even quicker at lucianne.com.

Throwing hate around is ill, most of the time. When confronted by Totalitarian Scum who wish you silneced, powerless, dead or all three, perhaps an exception is in order.

For the last 20 years I listened, believing as you do. Now I have made my decision. I took my time making it and went into it with my eyes open.

17. good point
I've already heard Drug Addict Limbaugh imply that John Kerry had Senator Heinz killed the other day... Traitor Ollie North says that Kerry protesting Vietnam cost the lives of servicemen... No Facts Ann Coulter says that Max Cleland was lucky he lost his limbs in Vietnam...

So, this is the kind of BS we're up against.

6. Well
If it came from a candidate or soem big liberal organization, the response would probably be too negative. If you did it in a commercial where you shifted vision that'd be one thing; but to have those two images together might have some people assuming you were accusing the President of having caused 9/11. Particularly Republican Pundits who would jump all over it as an example of our "mean spiritedness."

On the other hand doing it as an individual to energize the base might be very useful.

9. funny!
But at the same time, it would probably backfire....too easy for the people who like being told what to think, by the Admin, to get their intimate garments knotted up around their earlobes.

Too much truth doesn't sit well with mass psychology (like the first comparisons between Bush and HItler. Caused such an uproar, that the point got lost. Gee well HItler didn't trot out his final solution the minute he showed up at early fascists' meetings; the reality built over time---it wasn't until the result was so evil, so egregious, so huge, that even the most determined master of self-delusion couldn't deny it, that people finally stood up and said "NO" we won't permit demagogues.
---What an excellent example now, of learning lessons and calling the spade a spade early in the game, instead of waiting until Bush and the christofascits have actualy accomplished a southern-baptist dictatorship.
---I hope enough people open their eyes in time, or else things will have to get much worse before they finally do realize.

I think a better commercial would keep asking "Where was President Bush when those planes were crashing into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon? Then show Dumbass reading the goat book, flying on planes to run from the terrorists, etc.I'm sure you could come up with enough incriminating photos of him doing nothing while this tradgedy was occurring.

14. Actually, my first post was just an attempt to be outrageous.
I could see putting something like that together for the delectation of the DU Tinfoil Society, but wouldn't seriously consider exposing it to the view of the general uninitiated masses.

But you bring an interesting thought to mind. A split screen, one side showing the second building hit and the other side showing Card whispering to bush, then Bush turning back to read to the kiddies.

15. Personally, I love the idea.
If you did it, I'd copy it and put it on peoples'windshields, depending on how bad the repukes get in their lies and distortion ads.

Not too good for the General Public or a Dem Party ad, tho.

Just as gross as the repukes using bunkerboy in his latest rounds of add - it's the truth - but it's in bad taste.

Based on what is happening now to bunkerboy's sorry-ass ad people, they are getting their just deserts - only WHEN and IF that dispacable ad is pulled (I'll believe it when I see it).

Have to agree w/the ones urging for us to take the high road on this one.

I, personally, would love it.

19. Excellent
I can see a whole slide show of such images.

A pic of bush with his pants down fucking a young boy from behind.
"No child left behind." "No gay marriage either, do you think i want
to marry this kid?"

A pic of bush surrounded by 1000's of coffins draped with iraqi and
american flags. "Mission Accomplished"

A pic of bush snorting lines of cocaine. "Drugs fuck you up."

A pic of bush fucking a homeless person in the street. "Why don't
you get a job fucking.... oh? .. geez, i guess that means i need to
pay this guy."

A pic of bush surrounded by prisoners inside a prison. "No gay
marriage" picture changes to bush smiling while they gang bang him.
"Its too monogamous".

A pic of bush in front of a nuclear test. "Don't worry, these are
OUR WMD's. Fuck with me, and i'll nuke you."

A pic of bush with a professional woman well dressed and another 8 months pregnant, barefoot in a tattered dress. "Bush punches the
well dressed one.. "Get pregnant you fucking bitch." Then he
punches the pregnant woman. "Get a job, you welfare scum."

21. Faked photos are ...
... their dirty tricks.

From what I've seen, there are enough real pictures to show how incompetent they are. Use their own words, too, to show how they say one thing but do another.

25. The difference between, say, the Kerry/Fonda photo
and my modest proposal (I trust you are swift enough to follow my logic here) is that the former was a forgery, an attempt to deceive people into thinking that the two were in league, while mine is a juxtaposition of well-known images in order to tell a truth. Nobody seeing it would actually think that there had been a "Mission Accomplished" banner there on 9-11, but would be challenged to understand the linkage between the symbols.

27. The swastika is offensive to everyone.
My parents spent six months in a US concentration camp for Asians. That symbol is offensive to everyone progressive or otherwise. You are disrespecting everyone who has endured fascist behavor by using it.

28. If you don't want more fascist behavior in this country, it's best to
point it out. I never knew about the concentration camps here in California until I met an Nisei born down the road from were I am living right now, a place called Nipomo. It sounds Japanese doesn't it? He is the same age as me so that would have made him a pre-schooler then too. He doesn't live here anymore because his family lost their nursery business and their property.

How much better would it have been if people who knew and if the liberal press and anyone who was willing to speak up had made this public? I don't know why you are defending people in our country with family who had ties to Nazi Germany and who just may be trying to instigate a revival of facism in this country.

I think it's absolutely important to talk about the fascism growing right here in the good ol' US. Keeping quiet because it would be disrespectful opens the door for it to keep gathering momentum because we're busy being polite.

I think its extremely dangerous to avoid talking about similarities. Creating the death camps was not the first thing Hitler did in his rise to power. It happened slowly, and the German people were brainwashed/overpowered slowly.

Lets not refuse to look at the warning signs because someone will be offended.

I think we should saturate often frequented areas with bumper stickers, fliers, anti bush graffiti , etc... Just enough to plant the seed in people's heads. Easy to remember stuff that invades the subconscious.
