9/11 Families to Be On...... Tonights News Programs
Wolfwitz at 5:00

I just finished watching Wolf Blitzers noon show and he announced that some of the 9-11 Family members will be on his show at 5 PM later today to discuss the new Bush ads that exploit 9-11. Just giving everyone a heads up.

Phil Berg, Ellen Mariani's lawyer just received a call from "Scarborough Country" - Joe Scarborough -

update: for tomorrow morning... Mindy and Kristen are scheduled for the Today show and Patty is scheduled to be on CBS Morning News...

3. They are actually using dead bodies in the ad!! Sick!!
I just saw Crossfire, and Paul Begala paused the ad that showed fire fighters carrying out a body--this is even more disgusting than I thought!

18. Wolf mentioned he was sent to Iraq by the Bush Admin
I think he said it when introducing him, that he was former police commisioner and "was later sent to Iraq by the Administration." It was emphasized enough that I caught it and spent the entire interview laughing. Everything he said just made it more obvious that he is a fucking shill.

20. I'm not one to defend the corporate media, but I think CNN was critical
They mentioned and then showed the dead body being brought out in slow motion. I didn't even catch that part when I saw the commercial the first time but when they slow it down it makes you go "these people are fucking sick."

Heck, the fact that they are covering it at all is what's important here. If the Bush Admin gets 9/11 taken away from them as a potential campaign issue: they are doomed! 9/11 and the war on terror (a result of 9/11) is all Bush has to run on.

10. To Say What??
That they LOVE the ads? To hell with the victims families? That's going to be a tough one - although many a freeper would do it, since one called the victims families "money sucking scumbags" today.

13. Sure enough, 290 emails from family members opposing the ads...
and they find the one person who supports them.

12. Kristen Breitweiser
Try stopping THAT train. She is rock solid.

These ads are typically despicable, like everything bush does or touches.

Thank you for the heads up here TNOE.

21. Amen to that
The 9/11 families have done a tremendous job. They have done a great job of rightfully keeping Bush away from 9/11 as a political measure. Because of them, the issue has been neutralized.

14. ABC and NBC both announced the Bush 9/11controversy this morning...
... and then they both trotted out Karen Hughes to explain it all away. They've given BushCo command access to their airwaves.

I'm glad to see that at least NBC and CNN may give the surving families some time Friday morning.

ABC seems to have gone TOTALLY pro-Bush.

22. Am I just too optimistic? It seems to me the press has turned on Bush
A couple years ago the media would have completely ignored any such criticism of the Bush Administration. This was shortly after 9/11, with the war on terrorism undergoing and the war on Iraq looming ahead. They chose not to criticize the President much at that time, which is unfortunate, but the result is now that Bush's ratings have fallen dramatically, they are now attacking him just as rabidly as they used to be defending him.

Am I just being too optimistic here? I suppose I might, because I do (oddly) get accused of that a fair amount. Like with the whole gay marriage issue. My position (which I think is moderate liberal) is that the gay community WILL be given equal rights, but just not quite yet. I think its forcing the issue right now, but I do hope I am wrong on that. But I am sure that eventually the American people will come to realize that you can't idealize equality while denying certain rights to certain groups of citizens. But I digress.

17. I predict Blitzkreig will call them traitors and be done with it.
How dare they criticize the travesty the liar Wolfie refers to as "The War on Terror."

"War for Halliburton" is a hell of lot more like it.
