Does anyone here honestly think Nader will get 6%?
how the hell is he getting more than twice of what he got last time when he won't even be on the ballot in many states?

5. Of course he won't.
That's either pissed-off progressives registering post-Super Tuesday bitterness or Republicans who won't vote Bush but can't stand voting Democratic either. Or else they just made it up.

This is the thing to remember: we shouldn't assume that any Nader vote is a Democratic vote that went astray. Perot's not running this time; disgruntled Republicans need a way to blow off steam.

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

10. I agree
I don't think his voters are necessarily people who would otherwise vote for Kerry. BTW, this is a poll of registered voters. Among likely voters, you can be certain Nader's share would be much smaller.

for Nader this time have to so stupid that they would probably vote for Bush by accident.

9. Thats what happens when you poll only 771 people
He wont even be in the race by then. He will endorse Kerry and then think he is a hero.

12. What he is going to get
Dems think that Kerry is going to beat Bush by getting repub votes...but they dont' understand that the republican/independent voters might dislike Kerry. Also, kerry has been trying so hard to get the "middle" vote (who, in the end, might not like him) that he has alienated the left and his base. I think Nader's numbers could pretty high, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

19. They Made it Up for KKKarl
So that it won't look so suspicious when Nader pulls in 10%
of the vote from the Diebold voting machinez and puts Bush*
over the top.

They'll have to do something about the exit polls again, of course.

13. I doubt it.
First of all, we don't know if the Green Party will run a candidate. If they do, that person might claim votes that would go to Nader.

Secondly, he might not get on the ballot in a number of states, as was mentioned before.

Thirdly, I'm not certain that he's going to be that visible.

In addition, he has ALIENATED THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS out of some of his natural allies. They won't want to hitch their wagon to Nader's "star."

Moreover, there's a lot of anger out there, plus the desire to see Bush GO. Don't underestimate that.

14. THere is always a chance that the American people will awaken...
....and give him 36% and the win.

It could happen!

I will work for Nader and Kerry and will donate to Nader and Kerry.

I live in Texas, so my vote will not matter. So I will probably vote Nader. I hope he wins. I think he will not campaign in the swing states.

20. Nader Will do NEARLY ALL of His Campaigning in Swing States
> I think he will not campaign in the swing states.

The way he didn't last time?!?!?

Nader spent most of his time in swing states tipping them to Bush*.
He only came to California when he needed money.

15. We have the ability...
...to help insure that if Nader doesn't drop out, that very few potential Kerry voters support him. That means voter education, including outreach to media sources likely to reach the target populations. For example, will students and Greens who may have backed Dean and Dennis K. be more likely to turn towards Nader than perhaps Clark and Edwards supporters? I'd think so. Thus it is important to reach out and discuss the issues with them. I am surprised to read that some people think Nader will pull votes from bush. I don't think that is likely at all.I'm curious why people think that could be a possibility?
