My voter registration tallies for the last 4 weeks...help fight reggie.

Hey all,
I've undertaken a modest goal of registering 1000 new voters for the GE. It just so happens that my college is extremely liberal and most are democrats.

So I'm trying to do my part counter REggie, the voter rig the repubs are sending out.

In the last 4 weeks I have hit the dorms and registered 267 new voters. It has split 55% democrat, 35% Independant (democrats who don't like the label), and 10% republican. 10% is probably generous. I also got about 100 to fill out absentee ballot request forms. Several friends and I shuttled people to the polls on primary day also.

I want everyone to go get certified to register voters and turn your Dean, Kerry, Clark, etc. meetups into voter registration drive meetups!
That's the only way we are going to win!!

So get out there and register some voters!!

We need new democrats in MD to help elect 2 more democratic congressmen, democratic legislators, a democratic governore, democratic assemblymen, democratic board of education members!

We need new democrats in every state of the union not just for the GE!

3. How do i do It

How does someone get certified to register voters.

4. depends on your state...

Call your county board of elections and tell them you'd like to be a certified voter registration volunteer. I imagine it's similar to the MD process where you can just show up and ask to be trained. It takes 15 min, and off you go. It's so easy and they give you a certificate and everything!

Then go and register voters!
