Said this before and I'll say it again...
Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 10:36 PM by TruthIsAll
The Bush $200 million advertising, dirty tricks, propaganda budget will be our best weapon. He is bringing about his own self-destruction. No one will buy his crap anymore except his base - and even they are beginning to question things.

Look at Howard Stern. Imus. Both for Kerry. They bash Bush every day. Even O'Reilly is having to eat crow about WMD lies. Hans Blix. David Kay. All the way.

He has raised all this money but it will only accelerate his freefall. The 9/11 adds are a harbinger of things to come.

By the time the summer is over, he won't be able to buy a vote.

9/11 victims Kristen, Mindy and Ellen, et al will proceed to tear apart his actions, and lack thereof. His failures will be made clear to those who have yet to come to their own LIHOP/MIHOP ah-ha moment. But they will.

Karen Hughes and Karl Rove have no more magic tricks up their sleeve. In fact, they are looking more and more like rank amateurs. Grabbing Bin Laden will only raise the question - why now? You did this at the last moment for political effect? And we are supposed to applaud this theater of the absurd?

And just let him try to stand on Ground Zero during the convention. He will only bring out a million protestors, firefighters, police, 9/11 victims. It will be one massive egg on his face, for by then a number of new books will be driving the final nails into his coffin. I'm talking about tomes from Joe Wilson and other disgruntled insiders. And the Michael Moore movie on the Bush-bin Laden connection will be out come September..

So what does Bush have to talk about?

9/11 failures and coverups, WMD lies and coverups, bogus terror alerts, taxcuts for the rich, outing of CIA agents, stealing of democratic emails, spying at the U.N., exploding deficits, impending environmental disasters, outsourcing, BBV, thousands of American and Iraqi casualties, thrashing scientific research, exploding oil prices, unending war, cronyism, AWOL, Halliburton, "bring 'em on", the Patriot Act, " a form of looting", coup planning for Haiti and Venezuela, revitalized Taliban drug trade, coddling dictators, pre-emptive wars, Pakistan nuclear weapons trade, his image as the most hated man in the world....

1. Whenever I read a thread like this, I just really start to believe that
maybe is will really happen. But then my negative side starts talking to me and I start to worry about what really horrible thing the Bush* bunch will pull when they see that the rug is being pulled out from under them. God, I pray you're right.

3. ....And social security surpluses evaporating.....
....to pay for tax cuts for the rich! He says, social (which whistles through his teeth) scurity (passes right by the 'e') and when he says social scurity his nose kinda wrinkles up like he's got an allergic reaction to the term. Sort of like he just stepped on a cow pile. Geeze, these republicans have such obsessive compulsive reactions to such things, have you noticed. :+

4. Election ground zero.
When the Supreme Court of the US overruled the Supreme Court of Florida and appointed King George IV of America, most of us did not accept this. The rest of what has happened is WHY?????

5. Don't forget BBV
I'm convinced by November Bush will be lucky to get 20% of an honest election. But I am so afraid we are gonna wake up the next day and discover he just won a squeaker. -- with recounts impossible.

Then What?

6. Good thoughts, but we can't be complacent
I don't care if the polls have Kerry up by 15% the night before the election. It's too important to rest until all the votes are counted.

Unfortunately, Bloomberg won his election for mayor of NYC largely based on spending more money than any other mayoral candidate in the nation's history. It can work, but not if Kerry runs a good campaign and we all do everything we can.
