I was in New Orleans for a few days, and just came back to cold and miserable Chicago today. But I spotted something in the Times-Picayune today that will be of interest to any and all DUers in the area.
On Tuesday, March 9, the Judicial Excellence Foundation and Tulane Law School are sposoring a symposium on Judicial Independence and Accountability from 2 to 6 PM in the Audubon Tea Room in Audubon Park. In large bold letters, the announcement states that Justice Antonin Scalia will give the keynote address. Needless to say, he may be the last person qualified to give this address. It makes me wish I had another week in the Crescent city so that I could go and be heard. But maybe some on this board would like to do just that.
The announcement claims that there is no fee, but reservations are requested. No doubt some attempt will be made to filter out people who think duck hunting with Cheney was not a conflict of interest. But I digress.
The number to call for a reservation is 504.865.5937. The person to ask for is Marilyn Jacob. Quack quack.
