I dont think bush et.al quite realize that the majority of these people are not only well educated, but are very active politically. I hope that they are sufficiently pissed off to hit the voting booths en masse.

but why any one who is gay would vote for repubes in the first place is beyond me. Remember when they sent money to Dole and he had to return it cause the repukes made such a fuss over it? Narrow minded bigots.

3. I think we need to hit this demographic HARD.

Assuming that GLBT are about 5% of the population, that's about 15 million people out there.

I'm gay, and what often pisses me off is that gay people my age don't seem interested. They just don't. God, that pisses me so!

Here's what I think we need to do:
1) table at clubs & bars (most owners, in my experience, are big liberals);
2) put ads in local gay tabloids (Memphis Triangle, New Orleans Gambit, etc)
3) advertise online

If we get gay turnout up a mere 10%, that's almost 1 million more voters at the polls for us in November. Given how so many states were decided by less that 100k votes, this could end-up being the margin of victory.

And think further.. exit polling would show that gays alone are an electoral force to be reckoned with. The implications are astounding.

Unfortunately, allot of gays are VERY apathetic to the political situation...
