Grrrrr. Farking Local Fox Morning News
I was watching our local Fox affilaite's morning show this morning (I normally avoid Fox 11 like the plague, but when it comes to reporting school closings, they can't be beat.) and they were doing a story about the IAFF and the families of 9/11 victims and survivors complaints about minibrain's recent campaign ads that use images of Ground Zero and firefighters. The talking head gives and overview of the story, and then they show one of Chimpy's fucking ads in it's entirety! No comments from the firefighters or 9/11 families, just straight on to commercail!

Fair and balanced my fucking ass! :grr:

1. must depend on the market
My local FAUX affiliate uses feed from CNN, not the FNC, and on the whole they seem pretty even-handed. I was a little surprised last night when they did a lengthy segment on Kerry's VP choice, and focused on Mary Landrieu and interviewed her on the possiblity. Given that she probably isn't high on the list, I figured that the news director must be a fan :)

I can spot freeper news propaganda in a second, but I just don't see that with my local Faux people.

Northeast Wisconsin is fucking loaded with freepers. In most places you can't get elected to any local office if you run as a Democrat.

3. It also depends on whether the station
is owned and operated by FOX or another company.

Certainly an O&O is influenced by FOX News'
conservative bias.

But for example, Tribune Co. owns some FOX stations,
and since Tribune also owns the L.A. Times, a good chunk of
news from that paper finds its way on to the air
at the TV stations.

That's my experience at least.
