1. Time for Harris to check those voter lists, I guess
To cull more felons from the voting rolls!

7. They can't do that. The list was a one time thing in reaction to a scandal
involving the mayoral election in Miami. Do some research before spreading paranoia. I'm not mad at you, just the idiotic notion alot of people here are spreading about Florida not being winnable, when it's in fact the bluest red state for Kerry other than NH as long as he picks Bob Graham for VP

11. I sincerely doubt the incredibly conserviatve Graham will be the pick
Not that it would matter. Not only is Florida the most corrupt state in this country when it comes to voting rights, they solidly reelected Jebbie the last time he ran.

That speaks volumes about who lives in Florida, and what they really prefer to vote for. Sticking a DINO like Graham on the ticket won't change that.

13. Graham is a mainstream democrat. He's in the center of the PARTY
not the overall political spectrum. I suppose you think having a person more liberal than Ted Kennedy at the top of the ticket isn't enough. Insanity

2. Still too close.
There's been no significant election reform in FL, so I'm not excited about a 1% margin.

5. Me too!
With no election reform and Jeb as Gov, even 1% is amazing. Now they'll be under a microscope. Well, I hope they are anyway.

8. Enough of the clouded paranoia. Learn about how FL "fell off the truck"
And you would know that the same thing has a zero percent chance of happening again. Some people say we can't win Florida because there has been election reform, and you say we can't win it because there hasn't been.

The jews for Buchanon, most of the hundred K Nader voters, AND the minority community will be out in force voting for KERRY this time. If he has Bob Graham as vp, Kerry can win it by a good 4 or 5 percent

9. Gore won by a lot, too
According to the exit polls, he won by just about the number of "overvotes" cast. Somehow those votes didn't wind up in his column. The more the polls favor Kerry, the more overvotes you'll find on election day.

Yes, cynical. Florida wasn't a fluke in 2000. It was crime scene.

18. I thought the 2002 election in FL was very suspicious
it didn't seem like there was much reform

jeb 'won' with lots of votes so no one would examine the results carefully

i remember that there were many 'irregularities' reported on DU

20. It was a gubinatorial election before Bush's numbers started to sink
it doesn't negate the fact that Florida is still competative for Bush. In the same day all of New England except for Maine elected or reelected republican governors

6. Those who cast the votes decide nothing, those who count the votes
decide everything. Gore won Florida, too.

14. 4% of FL would vote Nader???!!
What the fuck?
Did Floridians learn nothing from 2000?

If you're in Texas and you want to vote Nader, fine. But if you vote Nader in Florida in 2004, you're an asshole. Plain and simple.

...and that State is in play! You're knee-deep in fecal matter!"

Rinse, and repeat!
