My Boss: Martha Stewart is way worse than Enron
Edited on Fri Mar-05-04 04:37 PM by underpants
Me:She was charged with lying about something they never charged her with.

Doesn't matter

If you don't stop insider trading there will be no stock market.

Me: Did she rip off the California retirement plan? Did she calculate to lie to employees and investors? She only made $38,000 off it.

Doesn't matter this is more important than any of that

I like my boss but he is a St.Ronnie guy (with pics of Reagan in his office). He always thinks he is right about everything not matter how outrageous it is. He was shocked to find out who owns the Washington Times about a month ago.

As he was leaving my office I asked, "So is Harken next?"

"Probably", he said. I don't think he knows what Harken is.

1. Of course he doesn't.
Remember, Dittoheads/Freepers have this in common with their spiritual antecedents, the Nazi Brownshirts:

Both groups think they know everything. Both groups in actuality know almost nothing. Both groups are moronic dupes serving the cause of evil. Some realize this and are overjoyed. Others are simply to ignorant to realize what it is they are supporting.

All are dangerous to liberty-loving people all over the world but most especially in their own nation.

2. Sad, Sad, Sad
*shaking my head*

OTOH, I heard an analysis several weeks ago about Martha v. Ken Lay and the answer came back that Martha gets it because her case is easily understandable. The Enron case is almost prohibitively complex if you are not a fiduciary lawyer or accountant. I can sorta buy that.
