54% Think Bush Ad's INAPPROPRIATE!
Edited on Mon Mar-08-04 07:30 PM by Beetwasher
"More than half of those surveyed, 54%, said Bush's use of the images was inappropriate. "It was not an auspicious debut for the president," says Ross Baker, a political scientist at Rutgers University."

That to me is the sweetest part of the new Gallup numbers...Nothing like putting your opponent on the serious defensive and having to play catch up! If Bush can't whore out 9/11, what's he gonna do?

2. Bush Thrives On Disaster
The only way he is empowered is by making us all afraid.

Kind of like Darth Vader in Star Wars.

I choose hope.

I choose John Kerry.

said that the "VAST MAJORITY of Americans" found the images "tasteful"! And she said it on THREE different national morning TV shows! It's just a handful of hysterical loudmouthed 9/11 family members who are causing all the fuss--why can't those people just cut their losses and get on with their lives?

4. You're all forgetting that Bush has obligations to the people who died

The Obligations Of The Bush

"I have an obligation to those who died. I have an
obligation to those who were heroic in their attempts
to rescue, and I won't forget that obligation."

8. Thanks!
I think it's so friggin' true, it hits where it hurts, but that's just my humble opinion. He's trying to appear to be a good Christian soldier, a Christlike Christian soldier, so I thought perhaps it's time the veil fell.

with lies. The disapproval was much higher last week, it's about 50/50 now. I heard one CON say over the weekend that 9/11 doesn't belong to the victim's families, it belongs to everybody and Bush has a right to use it.

7. This looks very close to what Kerry's polling at.
So at the least (for us), Bush* gains nothing from this ad - nobody's mind gets changed; the people with Kerry stay with Kerry.

At best, some people start getting disillusioned with Bush* and the politicizing of 9/11.

And that's pretty good for us.

9. He just showed a glimpse of 9/11 this time. The next ad would be just a..
little bit more, then a little bit more, until he is using full-blown 9/11 pictures all the time.

He is such a puke!
