Rudy Giuliani vs. Hillary Clinton ???
I was flipping through the radio dials today. A talk show host mentioned that Rudy might look at running for president in 2008. If Hillary decides to run too it could be quite a race. Rudy is a republican, but has liberal ideas. He did a great job in New York.

I am just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this.

2. IIRC, he didn't do so well against her the last time out

It might make for an interesting show, tho~

ON EDIT: Additionally, as Onehandle says, Kerry will be running for reelection. Hillary wouldn't be likely to challenge him in the Primaries.

3. If he is the nominee
then the Republicans will have to deal with the fact that they put an adulterer into office.

4. Giuliani would never get the nomination...
he is pro-choice and not rabidly anti-gay, so the GOP would never give him the nod.

6. He would IF he beats hillary Clinton first in a senate race
he would become even more of a hero to the conservatives forever for "slaying the dragon".

He could forseeably win it anyway even if he didn't beat Hillary because so many independants would vote for her.

5. If BushCo 'wins' in 04...
It'll be Jeb vs. Hillary for '08. If there's still a democracy by then, that is.

7. If *'s poll numbers continue to drag through spring and summer...
I believe that we'll be seeing Rudy a lot sooner -- as *'s running mate. Cheney will play the failing-health card and go to an undisclosed location to count his $$$ and direct from afar, which is what he does anyway. Guliani will accept the veep nomination in front of a "home" NYC crowd, and a star-spangled salute to 9/11.

8. I imagine if the votes
are accurate and counted President Kerry will be running for a second term. I imagine "st. rudy" will be running for Governor of NY and I wish the deconstruction of the myth of him being a "great leader" would begin. What are we waiting for?

9. Gonna be tough to dispell that image...
Rudy did a good job in NY after 911, even I feel that way, and lots of people forget how hated he was before that.

It's going to be very hard to dispell that image from a Nations mind. Maybe not so much from New Yorkers, but the rest of the country only know Rudy as the comforting dedicated Governor they saw on TV everyday and they liked him.

10. Rudy's second political endorsement
vs. Jake Gunthers widow in her race to fill Jake's NYS Assembly seat FAILED. Rudy was seen as an outsider JERK that had no buisness making his endorsement.

Still, Hillary has done such an awful job as Senator, that Rudy could beat her. I would vote Green, for instance, and I used to love Hillary.

14. I dunno. Too many skeletons in his closet, and not even 9/11
can dispel those.
