Freepers Freaking At Latest USA Today/CNN Poll
Halfway through the thread they start speculating that "people who do not finance the goverment are voting to take away rights from people who do" and then it becomes:

The founders had it right to begin with. If you do not own property (or pay federal income taxes) you should not have a right to vote.

What? Aren't THEY the ones willing to sacrifice anything just to get a few bucks from the goverment?

Anyhow....they're freaking, which is great! Also a good libertarian vs fundie fight re: Howard Stern. Apparently they like Big Government when it comes to kicking off people who offend them.

At one point one of them says "The Constitution only protects political speech" and then somebody quotes the Constitution which of cours does not qualify it in any way. Then he got called "the same as Larry Flynt" by the fundie.

Always a guilty pleasure lurking at around Freeperville.

4. Already passed Peak Freepers.
The pendulum has swung and they are being exposed as the genetic refuse they are. Humanity has evolved past this substandard specie.

8. I like this part...
"I live in Ohio (surprise, right?). I have seen the MoveOn.org's anti-Bush ads for the third time tonight. THat's actually a slow night. I have seen the Bush ad ONCE since Thursday.

Tell me, what the heck is the Bush campaign doing????
Sitting on their cans, letting Kerry blast the President. Is the strategy to let BUsh get down to 20%, then start fighting back? Do they think they'll get better press coverage when they are the underdogs????"

Thanx moveon.org, you're giving these guys heart attacks.

5. let me guess - they blamed the poll on the "liberal" media
It's really funny how freepers all think they are experts on the Constitution...as if their hours of listening to angry white man radio qualifies them as experts on what the founders thought and put in that document...

It's amazing to me that people like Freepers actually exist, and walk around and breath the same air as I do...

That being said, there is a subset of freepville that is a little more aware - these are the ones that invented the word "bushbot" and are always arguing with the creationists who want evolution removed from textbooks - some of the best freeper threads are the "crevo" threads, the threads where the creationists and evolutionists duke it out, the evolutionists mock the creationists, it's hilarious....

12. You know, their favorite argument from 2000
is that Bush won more "acres of land", because when you break it down by county he has more square miles than Gore...

Sorry. Land can't vote.

They're gonna spend millions and millions of dollars to get his worthless ass re-elected and it's all for nothing. It just hasn't sunk in what a miserable failure he is. I love seeing them throw their money down the toilet.

17. Fuck the freepers. We should be worried about the media which
dislike these numbers just as much as any Freep and have the power to do something about it.

They know that a Kerry win would not only be a rejection of the chimp, but also a rejection of their shameless cheerleading. More than a few of them also know that their Rove enabled careers will hit hard times once a Kerry press office takes over.

We should spend our time stopping them from Goring Kerry with the flip-flop meme they're already latching onto.

21. Flip Flop Theme Is LAME!
For one thing, anybody who has a 20 year voting record, you can take some stupid bill they rejected and do that "he doesn't want to defend America" "He hates children" thing. Kerry has to be ready to defend his record in detail.

Bush doesn't have a 20 year record doing ANYTHING! Well maybe his DRINKING DRUGGING AND CAROUSING period was 20 years...

Second of all every time Bush changes his mind on something they say "9/11 changed everything." Maybe they could give Kerry that pass too? Only look at post-9/11 stuff? Yeah right!

19. Yeah, Well....
"people who do not finance the goverment are voting to take away rights from people who do"

Actually, they are kind of right about this. In the February Atlantic there is a map of states that use fewer federal tax dollars than they collect vs. states that use more federal tax dollars than they collect. Guess which states import tax dollars? The red states. The tax-cutting Bush states. The northeast and the west, as in CA, WA and OR all export federal tax dollars.

22. Yeah -- I Did See That! "Red States" = "Welfare States"
Kind of pisses me off that living in CA, we get back something like 77 cents on every Fed dollar and these places like Alabama or Mississipi get back MORE than a dollar -- and then living in a state like CA, our votes really count maybe 1/4 of somebody voting in a lot of those red states.

I liked the idea of splitting CA -- why should there be 2 Dakotas & 1 California. No CA & So CA get 2 Senators a piece, sounds fair to me.

20. People who work for a living are financing this government, and the people
at the top are taking all that money and more (which is why we're running deficits) and people who work for a living will have to pay in the future for the cost not only of running the government, but to finance the debt too.

23. You brave, brave soul........
entering into Freeperdom. I know they are SO conflicted with their feelings toward government. The way I see it, they only care about what government can give to them and do not want to be responsible for paying for any of that. In other words, they want to steal our tax dollars for their gain, but they don't ever wanna pay their fair share. Give me, give me, give me! And do not ask me for anything. Because they are, first and foremost, stingy!

25. The concept of landowners being the only ones able to vote is horrifying..
and completely in line with racist, eugenicist behavior.. and simply smacks of nazi elitism.

If land-owners are the only ones allowed to vote, then why bother pretending we are a democratic republic?

Simply call this the imperialist dictatorship that the freepers want.

Or a corporate fascist state.
