Political divides in the home.........

Does anyone live in a household where there is a distinct political divide? I'd be interested to hear stories. I'm 22, still living at home, but my dad and I are like the infamous Blue States and Red States personified. (My dad actually isn't fond of * but I'm sure he will vote for him because of the social issues, and because he seems to have this notion that it would be "the right thing to do").

1. I used to - back when I was still young enough.

My dad would goad me at the dinner table during the evening news (which we had on TV while we ate dinner watching it): "Well! What do you think of Ronald Reagan NOW?" There'd be this big smile on his face. He liked Reagan. I'd respond by sticking my finger down my throat, symbolically, anyway. Wouldn't dare throw up my mom's dinner! It was annoying. I never reached him. Never got him to see the light. He was one of those who always declared he was an "independent." I knew darn well that - independent, shmindependent, he always voted republi-CON. Always.
