Powell says Democratic government in Haiti needs to be selected
Edited on Tue Mar-09-04 07:51 AM by kcwayne
In an interview with Juan Williams on NPR this morning, Colin Powell was discussing the failure of the democratically elected government in Haiti, and how the administration had tried so hard to help Aristide and he was deeply disappointed in the failure of democracy there.

He went on to say that we need to continue to work toward a democratically selected government there.

Colin, you need to quit attending so many RNC planning sessions for the upcoming re-selection of George Bush.

Democratic governments are elected, not selected by self appointed aristocracy you asswipe. Either use the word elected, or drop the pretense of democratic.

2. Brilliant employment of 1984 Doublespeak by Powell!! Well done!!
Haiti will now enjoy the same free, unfettered general elections that this country has.

I'm telling you, no one in this administration cares about Haiti. Neither do any Democrats. Haiti is hell on earth.
