I did not get the whole story, as my 1 year old daughter was a bit loud in the car on the way home last night, but Colin McEnroe on WTIC in Hartford mentioned that some people close to Rowland have started a 'whispering campaign' trying to blame everything (the hot tub and all the other freebies) on Rowland's wife. So, let me get this straight... his wife is SO powerful that she was able to get these contractors no bid contracts for the state?

He was on stage with the Bush brothers at the Governors Conference a couple of weeks ago. Not hidden way at the end of the banquet table, but right there with Jebbie, next to little bro. He was about to be appointed to the Bush admin when the scandal broke. He is in bed with Ken Lay, too.

The Bush family will get this long-time friend off, or at least find a way to forego impeachment.
