Southern "Hog v. Dog" "Rodeos"
http://www.2theadvocate.com/stories/030704/new_hogs001.shtml

How prevalent are these? How can they continue to operate in violation of local and state law?

2. Not A Good Parallel to Gekko
Why does this thread remind me of the Gordon Gekko's line in "Wall Street". "The thing about WASPs is they sure love animals... just can't stand people."

So what is the redeeming quality of a person who is entertained by this stuff?

If you were to apply this to something like an Alaskan timber community or an Oregonian timber community, then yes, your point would have some validity.

But pit bulls and feral pigs (defanged, of course) fighting?

3. Like I said before.
They should leave the tusks in. That's my only complaint.

4. Revolting
Why don't these losers get in the ring and take a risk?
A real man would get in the ring, unarmed, and fight a 130 lb. pit bull.
Now THAT would be fun and a true test of courage and fighting ability.

5. There has been a lot of controversy about this.
The one in Alabama was shut down about two weeks ago. The district attorney got some many letters, calls and e-mails that he finally had to take action.

6. Googled "East Feliciana Parish" and came up with the list of contacts
for the District Attorney's office there:
