George at the rodeo can't tell COWS from BULLS!!
I guess this explains a few things:

"He patted some of gigantic Brahman cows on the head and joked: "I thought there was a lot of bull in Washington, D.C." (As Maura Reynolds so delicately put it in the Los Angeles Times, he said this "despite the gender of the cattle in question.")"

snip

In his pool report, Richard W. Stevenson of the New York Times also described a little banter between Bush and the press.

"At one point, as he patted one of the cows on the head, the president turned to one of our wire service colleagues (a male) and remarked, "Reminds me of you." He did not elaborate. A moment later, another cow jerked its head up as the president reached out to give it a pat, perhaps suggesting it had had enough of being a prop."

5. Man, if only the press had as much guts as that cow!
When are they going to jerk their heads up in defiance of being used as a prop?

9. Really! It's like in "The Omen"...
...and the animals are scared of Damien, and the apes start climbing all over the car.

Aw man, now I'm having a brainstorm: we HAVE to get the presidential motorcade to take a swing through Lion Country Safari.

11. animals can tell
I have noticed that his dogs act oddly around him. They seem to hang back and not interact with him. Not like any dogs I've ever known.

10. some cowboy ...
doesn't know the difference between a dick and the dickless. Guess because he's a dickless dick (translation: a chickenshit chickenhawk)who's full of bull himself.

LOL!

12. can you imagine if Clinton had made this kind of mistake?
Talk radio would have hooted over it for thousands of hours by now.

It undermines Bush's very image that has been so carefully woven. It's so elemental. He's a FRAUD. A greenhorn. A city slicker.

All the things rural people should hate.

14. No cows at the rodeo
I've been involved with rodeos in Tx for close to 40 yrs. I've seen cattle, bulls, goats, sheep, even a monkey riding a dog, but i have never seen a cow.I'm surprised he was petting the right end.

We don't milk wild cows we ..... never mind we were young and there could have been alcohol involved.

22. maybe this was at the livestock show;
I just hope he doesn't try to milk any cattle, since he'll only have a 50% chance of getting it right
Bush: "Hey, this milk tastes funny."
