Does America deserve Bush if he wins?
Edited on Tue Mar-09-04 05:01 PM by _Jumper_
He clearly lied about war, he turned a $246 billion budget surplus into a $521 billion deficit, he failed to protect America on 9/11, he is obviously hiding something about 9/11, he botched reconstruction in Iraq by not forming a legitimate coalition, he failed to capture Bin Laden and has failed miserably in Afghanistan, he is in the pocket of corporations, he is puppet, and he has been a miserable failure in virtually every other area. If he wins, does America deserve him?

1. In a word,
no.

America always deserves better than a Bush.

21. LOL!
Seriously, though, I don't think America deserves a good president, because too many Americans vote for the guy who promises the tax cut, the guy who has nice hair, the guy who tries to be like them. In a country where the intellect of Al Gore doesn't trounce the stupidity of George Bush, where idiots like Tom Cole can get away with comparing the opposition to Hitler, I fear for democracy.

3. Until 9/11 his number one accomplishment was taking vacations
He still takes many vacations,IMO, and he still doesn't have any positive accomplishments.

America deserves much better.

4. Uh he didn't win last time
He stole the election with a little help from activist judges.

If he wins again, it will be a stolen victory.

And we don't deserve to live in a false government

9. I know
That is why I said "if he wins" instead of "if he wins again." 52% of people voted liberal last time.

6. Yes
If people fail to wake up and allow the Bush enablers to win (steal) another election they deserve it.

Vote smart America.

7. Hmmmm...
Americans can be arrogant, ignorant, lazy about politics and arguably undeserving of their individual freedoms, but I guess no one deserves someone like Shrub.

8. If he actually wins the next election...
If he election goes his way and the results are not questionable like they were in '84, 88, and '96... the I say

Yes America does deserve him. Lemmings deserve to die if they are too stupid to not jump off the cliff. Turkeys deserve to drown if they are too stupid to not look up in to the rain.

If he really does WIN the next election... America deserves what it gets for condoning fascism.

10. Maybe.
Tiem will tell.

In general, I tend towards "no".

Did the Germans deserve Hitler? The Russiand deserve Stalin? The Filips deserve Ferdinand Marcos?

Maybe.

In our silence and lack of action nationwide, we are complicit and will get everything back in spades.

We let it happen. The rest of the world knows it, when will we own up to it? We put up with outrages, lies and deceit, everyday. WHY?

15. Only those who voted for/enabled him to make the nation a facist
police state. The rest of us who see through the bullshit and hypocracy do not.

Many americans are satisfied to believe that they are being protected from terrorists and are free to enjoy their creature comforts by a God-chosen president bu$h rather than thinking for themselves.

This is so sad. The brainwashing has been successful and in spite of bu$h's failures, lies and shortcomings he will probably be elected.

Americans have become lazy and stupid.

Willful Ignorance=Stupidity

Mari333,

I've been looking out for you all day.

Wish so much you were not so far away. I would be asking you to speak on 3/20 at our rally.

Warm thoughts your way.

17. Yep. assuming it's fair & square
if the worst president ever gets reelected? c'mon.

the fact that he's as popular as he is already puts America on thin ice in my book. sorry, but i expect a little more out of people.

I suspect that Americans aren't as ignorant & duped by the media as we say they are. I think about 50% of Americans are just not very good people. another 25% are misguided but decent.

just spend a little time in nearly any other country & you'll know what I mean by contrast.

I feel sorta bad saying it. But really, it's not elitist when the rest of the world tends to agree. is it?
