Are Democrats natural pessimists?
Edited on Tue Mar-09-04 06:12 PM by Bucky
Cause CNN is all like, "Despite Kerry's lead and Bush's approval numbers, 52 percent of those polled thought Bush will win in November, compared to 42 percent who thought Kerry will prevail."

But then earlier they go "The poll, released Monday, found that among likely voters, Kerry was the choice of 52 percent and Bush 44 percent in a two-way matchup, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points."

And so I'm all "Huh? If there's more of us, how come we all think there's more of freakin' them 'n that we're gonna eat it?"

And then I go, "Oh, yeah... Florida."

1. Money money money.
Bush is going to spend Kerry into a giant hole. I certainly have hope, but it is hard to bet against the kind of money and media influence Bush has.

I think that liberals tend to be short term pessimists but long term optimists. We are constantly fighting an uphill battle, but progress will eventually happen.

3. Not necessarily pessimists...
but we are fully aware that our enemy does not play by the rules...and that can be discouraging sometimes
