How many vacation days has George W. Bush taken to date? ...
From "ask Yahoo!"

http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20031001.html

According to an August 2003 article in the Washington Post, President Bush has spent all or part of 166 days during his presidency at his Crawford, Texas, ranch or en route. Add the time spent at or en route to the presidential retreat of Camp David and at the Bush family estate in Kennebunkport, Maine, and Bush has taken 250 days off as of August 2003. That's 27% of his presidency spent on vacation.

I wish he would take more time off so he would cause less damage. ;)

1. 250 days off un frickin believable

Kerry's campaign should use this . Sound excessive to me.

Especially for a "War President"

14. It might be good for Kerry to use it...but then
Bush* could point out that Kerry has missed more votes than any other Senator in history.

Could backfire on him.

2. So you take out
the 30 days in August 2001 he spent 'vacationing', and I think a weekend at camp David around The Fourth of July. So he took off 218 days since he proclaimed he would not rest til Osama was captured dead or alive. Yea, Shrub* a man of his word...Kevin.

He is President 24/7 he does not get vacations & he usually only leaves Washington when congress is not in session & nobody is in DC Also to date Presidet Clinton had more days aways from the WH than Bush

" Bill Clinton had spent only 152 days on holiday" that does not countall the over seas trips he took President Clinton spent more time away

8. Part of the President's job
includes foreign policy, and that does include spending time out of the country.

Maybe part of the reason Clinton spent more time abroad than Shrub was that he was able to do so without inciting massive demonstrations. I would imagine that for a lot of foreign heads of state, that a visit from Bush would be about as welcome as the clap.

I also think that Bush displays an overall reluctance to travel. I mean this is a guy who despite having the means to go anywhere, had been abroad what, once or twice prior to becoming president. I think his reluctance to travel is just another example of his "lack of curiousity" about the world around him.

4. what I really want to know is
how many days of vacation did he take between his selection and 9-11? I know he took a month off right before 9-11, but wasn't there even more than that?

9. How Many Days Has He Spent Fundraising
Of the days he's not on vacation. Obviously, he's not doing a damn bit of anything in Washington.

How much Health and Human Services money (our tax dollars) have been spent on his fundraising trips? Kerry ought to jump on that bandwagon.

Bush - all play - no work!

10. 3.5 times 365....
That's actually 250 days a YEAR, isn't it? *I* don't consider flying to Ohio and spending 15 minutes lying about jobs then 12 hours schmoozing and fund-raising as "official business"...

17. If I pay for it, it'd better be "official"...
Funny, the ReTHUGs can't come up with any numbers about just how much these campaign trips of Shrubby's cost us, but they KNEW that it was 35 Kilobucks an hour for Hill to travel...

12. If you look at bush's employment history...
can anyone name ANY job he's had that he has taken seriously?

If so, he takes failure to lows I thought could never be reached!

If I had to hire him in any job, I'd have to hire 50 others, just to clean up after him. What a DUD!

13. Wash Post historian on presidential trips said
At end of first 18 months in office he had spent 42% of his time on vacation.

Wait till see report on time on campaign trail. Will be disgusting.

This is dimbo who said "I will put an end to permanent campaigning from the White House".

This guy has no sense of accountability. He has always been able to get and do whatever he chose.

Mommy said-"He hates to be told no".

If he cannot have his way he will sneak back to hog farm called a ranch.

He has never succeeded at any endeavor. Never. Not once.

He was a figurehead General Manager of Texas Rangers.

This administration is a black spot on our history.

16. I wish someone could figure out
how much tax payer money has supported his endless (unofficial campaign/fundraiser) trips.
Not ony does he have 170 million (?) bucks, he uses our money to traipse all over the country.
