If "winning" the "war on terror" is such a big deal, it might help to read the actual ransom notes from the terrorists:

1. How dare they ask for those things!

Don't they know how great we are and how much we can do for them if they just relinquish those silly notions of self determination?

2. They will never be happy.

That includes Israel and Israel isn't going anywhere. We will be fighting these bastards for a long time.

3. Seems reasonable to us.

The first thing when you don't want a people to hate you and try to kill you, is to not bomb and kill them.

I realize this is far beyond the understanding of most people. However to reasonable people, think about this America bombs and kills your family.

Do you A: Love america and want to submit to them and give them all of your resources.

B: take up arms against them when it is hopeless and get killed instantly.

C: devote the rest of your life to training and infiltrating america, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.. causing the most harm.

I would choose C. And judging by recent events most people that we are bombing are choosing that option as well. I said in 1992 when I saw Iraqi children starving to death from our sanctions: 'Those people will come for vengeance.'

At the time I predicted they wouldn't be ready until past 2000. It looks like I was about right.
