He referred to "leggy blondes who used to be men"....LOLOL.

I thought the two most important points of the evening were these:

1. Green's point about the Bushes learning the "power of audacity" as a means of manipulation and

2. Conason's point about the election specifically being a war for and against the old definition of "liberals" as soft on defense, weak-kneed, etc. This is the battleground of the election, he said.

Alterman's ending joke was hilarious. He was out with his five-year-old daughter who dragged him out of a bookstore by lying that she had to use a bathroom. On the way to the car he pointed out an ice cream store and told her that they COULD have gone there if she hadn't had to go to the bathroom. She finally conceded the lie and begged for ice cream. He wouldn't relent, and she made increasingly rude comments to him to try to get the treat. "I hate you, Daddy." He didn't budge. Finally, she came close and pulled on his pants leg and let out the worst sneer she could muster up. "G e o r g e B u s h" she muttered to him in scathing tone.

We thought we were taping and the/a certain button was not pushed. All I have is a blank tape. If anyone has this and can make it accessible ASAP, I would be very grateful. I'm also looking for re-broadcast time and can not find. Help...........
