Concerning how Bush was a "pollo mierda" or a "chicken poop" on September
Edited on Sun Mar-14-04 12:50 AM by Valerie5555
11, 2001, I wondered if anyone would rank humane society / animal control workers, library workers, airline pilots / cabin crews, Senator and ex - President Clinton, kitchen workers at the recovery centre for recovery workers, not to mention day care workers and kindergarten - grade 12 educators, or even ordinary New Yorkers *WAY* ahead of George Bush or * as far as matter or "heroes" were concerned.

I also wondered if some New Yorkers at the time, thought "screw Bush," for they felt that they were in reasonably good hands with then - mayor Guiliani, Governor Pataki, Senators Clinton and Schumer, and former President Clinton and who ever else filled the "take charge" role at the time.

On edit that actually meant "chicken crap" or "chicken shit" in Spanish, btw.

1. I think you could easily make that argument
What I dont get is how some people feel his response was his defining moment. WTF? What did he do ?

3. What did he do?
He created a photo-op for election purposes, nothing more.

Clinton was in Australia when the attacks occurred, and he still beat Bush to NYC.

I think few people in NYC have forgotten that, or forgotten that Bush dissed them in budgetary matters, either.

5. Wouldn't it be funny if

New Yorkers did the "Chicken Dance" in Bush's honor.

Wouldn't it also be funny if they also sang "The Yellow Rose Of Texas," but they subbed in the word "Shrub" for "Rose," since if you're "yellow," you're said to be a coward or a chickenshit.

4. Probably jack squat
except listen to young grade schoolers read goat stories and then "fly out of harm's way" afterwards.

Wondered what anyone thought if any ambassador or consul was in the thick of celebrating a birthday party for young expatriates when they learned that their embassy offices were being either stormed or bombed by some renegade group, that would be unthinkable though only the government of the country to which the embassy was accredited could actually defend the embassy in question.

6. defining moment
It was his defining moment. He showed the yellow streak down his back to all of us. that is, after we could find him. I spent a lot of the day asking "where the hell is that chicken shit." The only difference between his hole in the ground and saddams is that bush's is fancier. Do I sound bitter? I am.

7. Bet if you were in New York ,
others also no doubt wondered where that chicken poop was, while other people were wondering no doubt, if their family members or friends and others they knew were okay.

11. Hell, yes. I'm bitter too
and what blows me away is that so many people STILL plan to vote for Mr Chicken Shit in November! I'm surrounded at work by people who are WORKING for his election! It's all I can do not to step into each of their offices and demand to know if they are insane.

:puke: <-- bile, bitter, bitter bile

8. Un Maricon sin Corazón
I've heard that one.

It means "Fa**ot without Heart" -- "Heart" (Corazón) being both courage and compassion.

9. Wonder how anyone would say "asshole" in Spanish
maybe I will find out when I could find a Spanish - English dictionary.

By the way it may be something like "asno" which is Spanish for "ass" and "agujero" or something which is Spanish for "hole"

10. Spanish slang
Try the Alternative Spanish Dictionary for all your expletational needs.

Rulacho seems to come closest -- it's from Maxican slang.

"Chickenshit" doesn't really have an equivalent, and "pollo mierda" is a calque -- an awkward, literal translation. However, if you're using it about Bush, a Spanish speaker will appreciate the sentiment anyway.

Since Arbusto is Bush's name badly translated into Spanish, you can make a few nasties out of it --

Arbustacho: Crappy shrub (male)
Arbustejona: Crappy shrub (female)
Arbustillo, -a: Little shrub

Pendejillo -- little penis -- is also a good word to describe him.

Hispanohablantes, dame correcciónes gramaticales, por favor.

¡Buena Suerte!
