The sites I use for refernce are still under 570 KIA.

That's if you believe the official numbers. I have heard that if a soldier is taken off the battlefield wounded and dies later in a medevac, csh or hospital, they are not counted as KIA. Adding those in would double the count.

4. I saw that too, but the article was dubious

The other day they reported a blast with six soldiers wounded, I figured at least one of them was fatal. Sure enough they reported later that two of them died.

So I can verify at least one instance where this rumor is untrue.

7. Don't forget non-american coalition troops

Well over 100 deaths. We should count all coalition troops, IMO, in these figures. They matter just as much.

3. Rummy Parses Wolf...Amazingly Wolf Doesn't Bite

Just saw Herr Rumsfeldt on Wolfie and he was asked about the "564 casualties since "hostile" combat ceased (Wolf's definition, not mine)...but infered that's the number since Junior did his Abe Lincoln stunt. 564 said the Wolfmesiter.

Rummy first said, "You mean since all hostile combat???"...then tried to seperate "combat vs. non-combat"...and nudged the number down to 371. Wolf then restated the count based on the "end of hosilities"...and Rummy then spun to the other extreme saying "well why not include Afghanistan and state-side deaths"...pitiful spin!

Wolf, didn't go for it. After Rummy danced, Wolf went back and stuck with his 564! Now can a single-celled news organism grow a spine????

Rummy threw these numbers around without the least care if these were living, breathing, vibrant people who were killed in their youth for his own devious ends. He knows it, thus dehumanizes it. Once this regime is removed, the war crimes trial starts with Chenney and goes here next!
