Somehow I don't think that exactly true. There has been a lot of interest

in what happened in Spain, and a lot of notice has been taken of the price that Asnar had to pay for supporting bush* & co. in their little escapade.

What people need to understand is that even if bin Laden is caught, it won't make a damn bit of difference. This is a new type of terrorist situation, it's no longer centralized, it diversified and has cells all over the world. And most of the credit for this belongs exclusively to our attack on Iraq.

Most Americans don't care about what happens in Spain. They may be peripherally interested, but they don't care. We must not confuse ourselves (DU) with the rest of the country. Do you really think the average Bush voter or Nascar Dad really gives a damn about attacks in Spain?

The president of Spain was hugely unpopular, the timing of the terrorist attack is VERY suspicious, a couple days before the presidential election no less.

He was going to lose anyway, could this have been his "Hail Mary" attempt to stir fear, confusion and blind Nationalism in the Spanish people. After all, what did he have to lose? He knew he
was going to lose the election.

Thankfully, the people of Spain didnÕt fall for it.

I expect the US government will stage another terrorist attack on the US close to the elections.

The lesson of the attack in Spain will resonate with the American people if there is an attack. I really believe they will NOT "unite behind a strong President." I think Americans have wised up since 2001.

God help us if they haven't.

Why on earth unite behind a President who was unable to protect us? Why on earth unite behind a President who has done everything in his power to prevent anyone from investigating 9/11? Americans may have been dumb 3 years ago and may learn very slowly, but I gotta believe by now they have figured things out.

23. Yes, *Bush cannot win the election

either with or without an attack, but he could attempt a military coup via marshal law and suspension of voting using clandestine contacts via CIA to execute a 'terrorist' attack.

I am not sure if the military would go along with *Bush though. Maybe a few of the top brass would, but I would think there would be mutinies within the military.

I have read bio's of many of the brass in the military, they seem to be honorable, above reproach. It is beyond the pale for me to think the military would go along with the BFEE. Parts of the CIA, yes, but military, no.

If *Bush tries this, he and his cohorts could potentially end-up on the business end of a firing-squad.
