Huge car bomb targeted for Colin Powell ?

A huge car bomb was defused in Karachi, Pakistan this morning - just two days before a visit by Secretary of State Colin Powell. The bomb was taken to another area and defused. It was reportedly at the US Consulate building.

Does this mean that the terrorists prefer to attack our interests in other parts of the world, rather than on US soil? Is that out of necessity because of the good job Homeland Security is doing? Who knows? However, one would think this would be a good time to walk carefully in countries such as Pakistan....

1. No -- the bomb wasn't anywhere near where Powell was to be.

Where would they have parked that van for 2 more days?
I just love how the media links future attacks, or "nearby attacks" to our diplomats. I think they may have jumped the gun on this one as usual. IMHO
