Poll question: Which will be the next country to pull out of Iraq?

Assuming Spain is pulling out.
Following are the major foreign contingents occupying Iraq, with their current strengths:

2. Britain: 9,000
3. Italy: 3,000
4. Poland: 2,460
5. Ukraine: 1,600
6. Spain: 1,300
7. Netherlands: 1,100
8. Australia: 800
9. Romania: 700

2. I don't know who voted for Australia...

...but it most likely won't be. Howard is too in with Bush* and not listening to the people. If an election were held today, Latham would beat Howard hands down. He is leading in the polls by a huge margin. Howard really screwed up selling Australia to Bush*, and that alliance with Bush* will cause the end of Howard's political career.

6. If the Liberal party...

...gets sick enough of Howard, or realize the damage he is doing to the party, we could end up with a challenger from the ranks to oust Howard. Much like what happened with Hawke.

As for an election, we are still waiting for Howard to call it. But us Aussies will most likely be going to polls some time this year.

Well, you know, free-trade agreements talk. That's what Bush promised Howard, and that's what made him join the "Coalition of the Willing" despite a 70% antiwar sentiment in Australia at the time.

I don't think the polish are too keen on being there in the first place. And if the government can score points with their future EU partners they'll be out within six months. The major danish opposition party, the social democrats, just confirmed that they are backing continued presence for the time being so we won't be going anywhere. Of course both the polish and danish forces are nickel and dimes in the big picture so it's not much of a difference.
