christians d or r ?
2 Billion 15 Million Christians on earth. 2015 million.

280 people Million in America.

90% say they are Christians. .90 x280=252 million Christians.

252 of 2015 is a minority.

2015 million Christians is a minority on the globe.

Most of majority are not Democrat or Republican.

What are policies of each party which are Christ-like or not.

Debate is pointless. Emotion.Facts are not important.

Best authority is a Methodist minister. Ray at wwwliberalslikechrist.org.

Ray is very very good.

1. That is a great site.
It makes some great points about Jesus and the "Religious Wrong".

2. WWJT
What would Jesus tax? Remember he did say render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God, God's. Would he tax us to have the government perform charitable deeds? Rather than voluntary works?

3. Certainly Christ wanted voluntary works...
God's own words from the Bible even stated, "...You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give." (Ex. 25:2) God wants our giving to be from the heart; that is what He uses to judge us--what is in our hearts.

4. Commenting directly on the posted web site...
Having too liberal a view of Christ's teachings can be just as erroneous as having too conservative a view. Christians sometimes refer to it as the "tension" between God's law and God's love. Jesus came to the earth, suffered, and died out of love for mankind; however, his own words state that the law is still important: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." (Matt. 5:17-18)

God is a loving God but also a perfect God of justice. Keeping the correct perspective is important. God is not human; God is above us. We are not our own gods who decide for ourselves what is right and wrong; that's up to God. But on the other hand, he loved us so much he died for us--he made the move down to reach us, rescued us from certain death and created that wonderful bridge that would otherwise have separated us from Him forever.
