"Is it a public service, or propaganda?"
Just heard on CNN, as an introduction to a story about the news segments with ACTORS (http://www.nytimes.com/2004/03/15/politics/15VIDE.html?ei=5062&en=5433).

Public service? Come on. It's 100% deceitful, pathetic propaganda. Why can't they just tell it like it is? No matter how corrupt, deceitful or pathetic the Republicans get, the media (CNN in this case) will cover for them.

There are so many other examples, too: Was Bush stretching the evidence, or was the intelligence wrong? Nothing asking if he was straight-out LYING, which everyone in the know knows.

1. With all the media whores out there, they had to hire actors?
Man, that had to be one rank commercial. Reminds me of a famous lawyer joke that ends "and besides, there are some things rats just won't do."

2. What a surprise, Torrie Clark, Bush-whore and..
..seemingly best friend of Paula Zahn, had the gall to not only defend the ads, but blame them on John Kerry!!

AHAHAHAHHAHAAHA. I think I'm going to kill myself if this idiocy keeps up until November.

3. Who's lying?
Edited on Mon Mar-15-04 08:21 PM by xeximian1243
I remember when Lyndon Johnson was President. He could as well have been a rug he lied so much, as well as cursed like a sailor. You don't have to be a rich and brutal Republican to be an Olympic class liar. This is politics which is all about elections, money, and power. Probably participation in boards such as this one is the best way to glean the truth from the lies, both public and private, that we are all bombarded with on a minute to minute basis. Clearly the use of actors in these ads, whether by the Clinton administration or Bush, is a disgrace to our intelligence.
