9. The Purple Pill

All the ads for the meds have gotta be right up there too. That one "have you heard of the purple pill?" It's like, wait I don't take a PURPLE ONE YET! I better ask my doctor if it's right for ME...

My husband always says, no matter what the pill is supposed to do it almost always shows a 50-ish couple laughing, holding hands and joyously pointing at everything in some picturesque harbor town.

Take this pill and you too can walk around and point!

Then all the fast-talk disclaimers about how you may grow horns and a third arm from taking the pill...BUT NO MORE PESKY HEARTBURN!

That commercial cracks me up. Not a WORD about what Vioxx is, or does, except (apparently) it'll make you a better clam-catcher.
