Thought for the Election...
When I was in college, I met a person who said he was related to Richard Vigueri, the direct mail guru, who aided Reagan greatly. He told me that one "trick" that Reagan would use when a seemingly outrageous, but true story was about to be released, was to release two or three seemingly outrageous lies, to cloud the issue. People would say, "I don't believe any of those accusations, because they're all so ridiculous." Hence the famous phrase, "There you go again." I look for, as we get closer to summer, the Shrubbers pulling the same thing. Does anyone else?

1. Boy, have not heard that slimeball's name in ages...would not put
ANYTHING past these people; they are the epitome of evil.
I NEVER thought I would hear myself say that we had a pResident dumber, more disconnected, more phony, more totally and thoroughly and despicably evil than Rayguns, but we have it now, in spades.
This whole whorish cabal just oozes it, and people lap up the shit like dogs slurping up antifreeze, unaware that they are being poisoned.

2. Big Lie Theory is Nothing New
I've quoted the verbatim language from "Mein Kampf" often enough on this forum, I'll spare you tonight.

Paraphrase:
Tell a big enough lie, and the little people will believe it, because they themselves lie in little things, and are afraid if they don't believe the Big Lie told to them, their little lies will look ridiculous.

The smokescreen theory Viguerie used in 1984 should remind us all of Rove's work in 2000. And were' still 7 months out from the 2004 election. Rove's got some "surprising" stuff ready, I'm bettin'.

3. they have become much more sophisticated
and have dumbed down the populace. Now, all they have to do is say something, a hundred times like a mantra. Then, when called on it, backtrack, say they never said it (all traces have been removed), and spout some other inane, insane bullshit.

It's called propaganda.
