I will be amazed if Kerry wins this election. It is going to be quite difficult. The "CORPORATE MEDIA" obviously fells threatened. The coverage is becoming more negative against him, and more positive for Bush, similar to what they did in 2000 to Gore.

I saw Hardball last night, and the first segment they kept bashing Kerry on his lack of character during the Viet Nam war. They didn't have anyone from the Kerry camp to present their position, and Tweety was joined by Pat Buchanan referring to Kerry as a "lefty", "oportunist" etc.

It is an unfortunate disgrace what the press has become!

1. Our side has to use

creativity to combat the right-wing media. I've been e-mailing MoveOn.Org for the past week, trying to get an address to send a donation. The screen promises a real live human being will read & respond, but I keep getting non-human non-responses. I would like to contribute to more than just the Kerry campaign at this point. I appreciate moveon's work, but find it less than encouraging that I am unable to get an address. I do not have credit cards, and so sending a check is my way to contribute. It's odd, I'm not asking them for a penny, I'm offering to send them mine.

2. I contributed to MoveOn.org

but they only except credit card. I think it is odd that you cannot obtain an address. It also looks like Nader will be a factor again in this election

4. On the web page

regarding donations, it has a little section on donating by check. But no address. I know it may seem odd to not have credit cards. But I've never had one, never will. I've bought cars and houses. The folks at the bank think it is strange not to have one, but agree that people can establish credit and avoid problems by not having credit cards. Moveon is, of course, not the only group that does progressive works. I am open to suggestions from du members. I do not have an unlimited amount of cash, of course, but can assist groups that do progressive work. I'm not even saying I want to try to say what any group should do with my donation. No strings attached. But I want to help a group that is doing actual work towards making progressive changes. Any ideas?

3. I tried donationg to Kerry...

but I cannot his online form to "submit".
Once I fill out the information, BEFORE I hit the submit button, I am whisked back to his home page. It simply will not allow me to donate! I have written to them a couple times about this and have received no response. Any other site I try to send money to is okay (well, I haven't tried the move on.org site..)
Is this just me or are others getting this too?

Kerry's people said they had a virus attack their site... any one else heard this?
