Am I getting the media's spin on Al Qaeda taking credit for the Socialist's electoral victory in Spain correct? CNN seems to be buying their bluster lock, stock and barrel. As Chris Rock would say, that idea is as nutty as my shit after eating Almond Roca.

CNN is conveying the notion that somehow Al Qaeda had predetermined knowledge that Aznar would ignore all the telltale signs that Al Qaeda was involved. That somehow Al Qaeda had advanced warning that Aznar would twist the U.N. Security Council around his finger and shred their credibility by having them condemn the E.T.A. for a crime they denied responsibility for. That even after Al Qaeda took credit for it, the Populists would continue to bury their heads in the sand and anger the population into voting them out of power.

It seems to me the media wants to spin this bullshit as truth, perhaps as a warning to the American electorate that if we don't stand up to Al Qaeda, the socialists will win. Fear is irrational, but boy does it sell.

1. Yup...that's the spin being used....
There was some crap over at CNN that stated that "this is the
first time that "terrorism" defines the outcome of a democratic
election".

Something tells me that we're being setup because later on they
continue to talk about how "real" the possibility was of an attack
here in the States "just before the elections."

I have a very bad feeling about this...

2. That is so silly some thing like 80-90% did not want the war
What they had were rulers the people did not like in the first place and who is to say the polls were not off. They were real near is number before the vote. The paper said 11 Million people were out in the country. 11 Million in that pop. I think the people were just fed up.Also they have had 50 years of this stuff. How can you go with war on terrorist, it is not a real thing but a thought thing.

3. I have a very bad feeling about this too.
Even if this election's October Surprise doesn't result in a direct attack, I wouldn't be surprised if we spend the entire month in a state of orange or even red alert. The set-up would then make it look like an imminent terrorist attack was thwarted by our Brave Fearless Leader. Why change horses in midstream?
