So today in the Milwaukee AM Hate Radio market the right-wing echo chamber media kept on repeating this:

Since the people in Spain voted the socialist government in that Terrorists won and Democracy lost, so therfore a vote for kerry is a vote against democracy and for terrorism.

Okay maybe they'd be right if 90% of the Spanish people wanted to go to war. Maybe they'd be right when a poll in november 2003 revealed that the Aznar and his conservative party were going to win hands down, but Jeff Wagner and Charlie Sykes at AM 620 WTMJ in Milwaukee Wisconsin were willing lieing to their listeners, becuase:

-90% of the Spanish people were against the Iraq Invasion

-In November 2003 a poll was taken and 41% of people would have voted for the conservatives, and 36-37% would have voted for the socialists(a 4.5% averaged difference).

- After the elections the socialists had a 5% gain.

These two bottom-feeding media whores omitted these facts completly and the fact that the Spanish people hated being lied to by their governmant that it was the ETA.

Sorry for my rant, but I have only detest and bile against Wanger and Sykes. Whores, the entire lot of them.

1. Agreed - what would these jerks say if the opposite occurred?

Say the Socialist Party was in control of Spain and was down by 5%, a terrorist event occurred, and then they lost the election. What would the spin be then? ("A great vindication blah blah blah")

(One thing that bugs me is that RW'ers never understand socialism - heck the US is socialists to some degree - the goverment owns the roads, airports, ports, schools, vast amounts of land, hospitals, etc)

They seem to ignore that the majority of the Spanish people were opposed to going to war with Iraq, argued in favor of completing inspections, didn't by the BS being spun by the killer B's Bush and Blair about direct and immediate threats, thought that a reckless action would result in greater violence, instability and terrorism and are angered that there were no WMD's in Iraq. Immediately trying to pin it on ETA and down play and Al Qaeda link before any evidence existed also impacted the election. The victory of the Socialists was not a victory for terrorism. It was rejecting their government's signing on to the neo-conservative foreign policy and a wake up call to the other leaders that decided to cower to Shrub's black mail. commentary.

Stuff like this comes as no surprise. These wing nut media whores stand for one thing, keeping shrub in power and facts mean nothing.

4. Don't Get Pissed, Call Them...

and tell them the truth. I do it all the time. You'll be surprised at how easy it is to get on if you maintain a calm, intelligent demeanor. Although one would think that since it's these people's living to know what is going on, maybe they don't know the whole story.

5. I usually e-mail them with evidence

To support my POV and to show that they constantly mislead their listeners by ommittinf facts, but I have yet to call them bottom feeding Bush whores yet.

They never answer back to these kind of e-mails.

But I'm sure the time will come and I'll get railed on teh radio when I call them Bottom Feeding Bush Whores. Can't wiat for that day to come.
