What if we took the WH, Senate and House
What short list of "must do laws" would take precedence?

1. Well...
1) healthcare

2) healthcare

3) healthcare

4) healthcare

5) healthcare

Basically, that's a MUST even if we need 60 votes in the senate to break a fillibuster. Secondly are social security, fix the crappy medicare bill, change the tax code to keep jobs from being sent overseas, stop corporate welfare. That's just a short list.

9. And healthcare.
Not only that we would have to sacrifice a virgin in thanksgiving to
God.

I'm kidding!

13. Don't forget healthcare
Did I mention that our healthcare sucks in the U.S., mainly because of right-wing anti-humanist GOP corporatist f*ckers?

2. First, overturn everything the chimp enacted....
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 10:52 PM by webster_green
Every law, program, policy, proclamation or whatever smirky accomplished must be repudiated and eliminated.

Then we start marching the cabal into the war crimes tribunal. It will be lots of fun!

More fun than Watergate even!

5. Balanced budget amendment.
I am young, and I'm sick of seeing politicians - GOP and Dems alike - squander my not-yet-earned money.

8. Take a deep breath, inventory the damage, ...

and start picking up the pieces. There's a lot of repair in the wake of this wrecking crew.

10. What the fuck have you won after the Bush crowd gets through...
with it? We need to start lowering expectations of the American people right now, I can see. They have created such a mess that not even Houdini could escape from it. It doesn't matter if we have the House, Senate and the WH if the same group is going to be there to clog up the works, as only they can do.

14. *'s "slash and burn" policy
You're right, the public needs to be made fully aware of the "slash-and-burn" history of the * administration. They have gutted America to feed their greedy corporate masters.

It will take *years* to undo the harm they have done. :argh:

11. Voter verified paper ballots.
That's number 1. Without that, anything else risks never seeing
the light of day as long as republicans own the voting machines.
