Tonight Dave got Kerry's liars statement totally wrong. Here's the email I sent to him:

When John Kerry inadvertantly spoke into an open microphone recently, he did NOT say something embarassing, nor did is he trying to backpedal, contrary to what Dave claimed on tonight's show. Kerry said that the Republicans are a bunch of cheats and liars. And he later said that his statement was absolutely true. In fact, he refused to apologize for saying it. Get it straight, Dave!

4. Crooks and Liars

Am I misinformed, or didn't Kerry say he was talking about Limbaugh, and the rest of the right wing talk show hosts? Was he actually talking about the Republicans, and was the explanation about the right wing media in itsself backpedaling? I'm new here, please straighten this out for me.

Seemingly unaware that his microphone was still on, Sen. John Kerry used uncharacteristically harsh language Wednesday to describe Republicans as "crooked" and "lying" during a quiet exchange with several workers at the Hill Mechanical Group in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood.

As one worker urged Kerry to "tell it like it is" and to "keep smiling," the presumptive Democratic nominee told the man not to worry. "We're going to keep pounding, let me tell you. We're just beginning to fight here," Kerry said. "These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group I've ever seen. It's scary."

I believe there was further clarification from Kerry when he stated that the attack was directed at the neocon gang running Bush*s campaign. He stands by his statement, and I agree.

10. I won't do it.

I'm a huge Letterman fan. If you watch his show
regularly, he constantly mocks Bush and makes him
look absolutely ridiculous. Mocks Cheney too.
It's hilarious, so I'm gunna cut Dave some slack.
His comments were to get a laugh....I'm 99% sure,
and he makes me smile, even when I don't agree :-)
