Our press are just miserable failures. NYT front page material and no one knows about it. :(

6. My mom
always wanted to be a journalist. She says that she could picture me in that job. I tell her no way, I want a job where I could actually get things done, like a Senator, or Secretary of State. She said that if I were a journalist, I could tell millions of people what was happening somewhere, I could keep them informed and people would listen to me. I said "suppose I needed to get an important story out, but my corporate boss and his politician friends didn't want me to. It would never happen. I think the reason you want me to be in the press is because you grew up in a different time, when the media told the story and reported the real news. Today they're just a bunch of lying, corporate lackeys who will say anything if they think it will sell ads". She was forced to agree with me.

If I ever end up in the news media, I want Jon Stewart's job.

8. Karen Ryan also played a fake fireman in Bush's latest TV spot
Karen Ryan used to fly co-pilot with Dubya during his Texas Air National Guard duty. Later, she stole his flight log-book.
