We have to share the truth with all who will listen

so they understand what's really happening to our country. I've heard some say people are asleep. I think they are just unaware because the media is not in the business of telling the truth these days. Many are too busy raising families and making ends meet to spend the time some here at DU spend to get the facts. Being mindful of this, I have been talking to everybody I know about the issues I learn about here at DU.

This morning, I spent about ten minutes talking to a coworker about Bush, the OBL/drone tapes and how Bush pulled those trained drones off OBL. She was shocked. I went on to tell her about 9/11 and LIHOP.

This evening, I spent more than an hour talking with a friend about the same thing as well as, all the things the media chooses not to air. Like the fact that there were no plane parts found at the Pentagon on 9/11; like BBV--I read her some of the stuff here from DU; like our vulnerability due to the cowboy in the White House; like the "moral" cloak the right hides behind to silence the Howard Stern's of the world while they say nothing about the examples of indecency set by Cons on the airwaves that engage in name calling and degradation of political figures and those who attempt to voice different opinions; like the scrubbing of historical records by BushCo; like Schumer's request for $8 billion to secure the rail lines while we gave $87 billion to Iraq...you know the rest.

She was shocked. She had heard very little about any of this. And when I tell people these things, their questions about why they don't know lead to the understanding that the media is not reliable.

I see people who I know very well watching Fox news and network shows and I try to educate them about the owners and the media so they will make better viewing choices--if such a thing is possible with the limited shows available to us.

I let people know about the political ramifications of not voting in all elections (BBV deployment). Sometimes it's exhausting, and some friends get a glazed-over look in their eyes when I start talking politics and I tone it down.

I put together emails and I send them to those friends who send me chain letters and hope they will also pass on the information we share here the same way so that the truth will be known.

But think what it would mean if 30,000 DUers reached ten people each who passed on the same information.

Sean Hannity has pledged not to take a day off this year until the November elections to get his message out (as empty as his message might be). I hope that we can pledge to work as hard as he will in the coming months to get the truth out.

I've been trying to get people motivated to start sharing the Truth for quite some time. Some prefer to bitch, whine, piss and moan rather than rise to the occasion and actually DO something, dammit! I commend you on your spirit and your efforts. If you're so inclined, please feel free to join the Whispering Campaign - a game of Political "Gossip" where the story of our Government's deception and betrayal gets passed from one person to another......
