In the past couple days she's been interviewed on KIRO in Seattle, she's been assured that her comments will be printed in The Nation in early April, and I was able to brag to my son in Baghdad today that she's doing all she can to support the troops and oppose the war.

Why, as her husband, would I not be in love with her?

15. That's kind ....

Michael's been in Iraq for months now, and the packages I send seem to be delayed for just as long. He got his first one yesterday, and it was sent just after Christmas.

He's being housed in a cell at the al Ghraib prison just outside of Baghdad. (Why do I pronounce that in my mind as "the grave"?)

Man, I can't help but be disgusted by the state of the union when I watch the news. Bush struts, people scramble at department store openings, and we're all expected to view it all as positive.

But now I'm just ranting. I only meant to thank you for your kind remarks.

... and lives at the prison, I guess. I'm not certain, but I suppose he takes what he gets. It's odd. In his latest e-mail he explained that he was refurbishing the cell with some kind of carpententry skills--making it his own.

He's always careful to make certain that I won't worry about him by his remarks, but naturally I do. I guess he's just doing his best to adapt and spare me grief.

... afford it. God, we have stories to tell about our past protests, including a lady (and I use the term loosely) who flagged down our cab as we were on our way to protest the innauguration. She didn't have a ride, then flagged the cabbie down. Once she jumped in the back of our ride, she gave Mari a hard time on how she was dressed. She may have been from Tennessee.

I think she should have paid the full fare, plus ours. We handn't arranged to pick her up, but the cabbie decided to pull over and pick her up, anyway. She was very rude.

It's a hard cameo to sum up.

Oh, Jesus Christ! (I digress out of frustration.) Bush is on tee-vee live, I can't maintain a cogent train of thought while he's speaking and while troops are cheering him with the "hooah."
