that that's what you can expect with Democrats in charge. And because voters are already predisposed to thinking that Democrats are weaker on defense, they'll buy it.

clark isnt even being considered by the campaign from everything I have read and heard. I like Clark and even donated to get him in the race (though I still always supported Kerry) I thought he would be and was good for the primary. He will not be VP choice. There is too much chance to throw his previous support of the administration back in the dems face. I honestly don't even see him on a long list of possibilities at this point. They might and should use him in the campaign. I just dont see vp as even a chance

It looks to me like he's up front on the campaign trail for Kerry, and absolutely in the running for VP nod. As for "too much chance to throw his previous support of the administration back in the dems face," I can see how his words might have hurt him in the primaries among Democrats, but they could only *help* in the general election, by appealing to independents and disgruntled Republicans who once gave the Bush administration the benefit of the doubt and/or hoped they'd do a good job. It's a magnanimous view, and it puts his strong criticisms of the Bushies' foreign policy in even more highlighted perspective.

Looking At The Only Open Republican Line Of Attack, There Are Two Front-Runners To Be His First Pick – And Edwards Is Not One Of Them

Personality-wise, Edwards is not much of a match for Kerry. And Edwards is not a second-seat type – in other words, he needs to be the head of the class, and there is nothing Kerry needs or wants less than someone who is not inclined to accepting a lower rank and taking orders.

More importantly, we already see the line of attack on Kerry, and – despite the Bush campaign’s explicit denial – it is an attack on his patriotism.

So that leaves two picks that come to the forefront. Having been a Presidential candidate, General Wesley Clark is the obvious one that comes to mind. He is a decorated veteran, a southerner – bringing the main asset Edwards had as well – and showed a real ability to raise money and charm people on the campaign trail. He has looks, charisma, and leadership experience at the highest levels.

However there is a second choice that seems just as likely. During this campaign, the relationship shown between former-Senator Max Cleland and Kerry on the campaign trail – as Cleland has campaigned alongside John – has shown itself to be a deep felt and comfortable one. They seem like peas in a pod, two men who are on the same page.

The ratings-driven corporate media wants you to think there's a sense of urgency, but last I heard the election isn't until November and the Democratic Convention is in July. If we panic every time someone attacks Kerry we're just playing into Rove's hands. Kerry should probably pick a running mate before the end of May, but there's no rush.

It's one of the states that if it's close, the election isn't. It won't go blue before pretty much every swingstate does.

I'll tell you one thing. Graham is the most popular democrat, if not politician, in Florida, a lameduck(we wouldn't lose another senate seat) and has 3 times almost the electoral votes of Indiana

However, my close second choice would be Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico. He has said that he does not want the Veep nomination, but I think he would be a phenomenal vice presidential candidate, and it would be nice to see a little diversity on the ticket.
