I Just Got Called "Treasonous" For Questioning our *Fearless Leader*
One of the other boards I hang out is a Fitness Forum, where mostly fitness and bodybuilding is discussed.

Anyway, they have a General Forum section where politics rears its head quite a bit. As can be imagined, fitness freaks attract a wide array of people: soccermoms, gay men, gay women, straight men, straight women, gun nuts, freepers, Fundamentalist Christians, Leftist Christians...you name it.

Anyway, on one thread I posted a comment on how Bush had mislead us into Iraq, and was responsible for the growing number of deaths of Amerian servicemen and women. And my favorite response was some jughead accusing me of treason for questioning our leader at a time of war - - telling me I would have been executed in WWII for that. Um, the guy needs to read history - we have never executed dissenters (and God willing never will.)

Anyway, I feel proud. I'm in the same camp with the Dixie Chicks!

I gave up posting on Dr. Squat because the fundies and rightwingers managed to work their ooze into every post--even the ones related to fitness and nutrition.

His original sentiment appeared in The Kansas City Star on May 7, 1918.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."

Morons, they don't understand the principles this country was founded upon.

My answer was always, thank goodness the founding fathers didn't agree with your premise.

These same people were all over Clinton during the Kosovo crisis.

I am sure some people have compiled quotes of what Delay and others said about Clinton during that time.

I will bet you, these same idiots will be crying in their soup 20 years from now, how they were betrayed and deceived by Bush, but then, "we all were".

Bush supporters have a good role model in their leader, don't think, just blame everyone else for all your problems.

Take this hate speech seriously. Wingnut radio in the early 90's produced the Oklahoma city bombers, and they haven't let up since.
