Is it me or is it really sick to commemorate the anniversity...........
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 12:54 PM by Oz
of a war that we started without legal justification? Forget about the bad guys. Just thinking about the innocents killed would be enough to reflect solemnly on the day. It borders on mental illness.

1. How about "commemorate" instead of "celebrate"?
Better word choice.

2. What's happening on Saturday
is by no means a celebration, in my opinion. It is remembrance and continued dissent.

I guess you could say the Freepers will be celebrating, though.

3. we're dealing with some pretty sick m.f.'s in this country
:puke:

I mourn the 1yr anniversary

still no weapons, either. Remember when Blix was painted as a bumbling idiot for not finding them after a few months, with Saddam still in power?

6. who celebrates the BEGINNING of a war?
that's just ludicrous. I would proudly celebrate the end of it as well as an end to the occupation and sanctions.

7. celebrating death, maiming, destruction?????
yes to what you say. and why didnt i see it like that. i have just ignoring all the gibberish. but this is just offensive.

the breaking up of families, the putting them in financial straights cause the husband and father is out of country. what are we celebrating.

the sucking out the money from u.s. and our caring for our own people to rebuild another country

i could go on

8. Protest... Make your voice for peace heard!
Visibility on this is paramount! We must show the world we're not in agreement with bush or his illegal war!

10. It's sick and perverted
This is what comes of having a "war president".

Like many others here, I will be in the streets Saturday, letting people know that this is not a celebration worthy event.
