Bush Bin Laden Quotes, Kerry needs to use them
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

Now that's a tremendous flip flop! It's our number one priority and now it's 'not our priority.'

He also needs to show footage of Bush in his famous 'nation building' lies during the debates with Gore. That's another tremendous flip flop.

The Bush campaign is going to use terrorism as some sort of crutch, but if we demonize Bin Laden, who is easily demonized thanks to his actions, Bush doesn't have this issue. Look at those quotes! They are damning! He's 'truly' not concerned about Bin Laden?

4. Not even 6 months went by, and Bush flip flops thanks to Iraq bogus war
And what is Iraq? It's nation building! It's even worse than that because this nation is a powder keg ready to go off. It's going off right now.

2. Excellent - thanks!
Kerry's "Flip Flops" are about size 3 narrow.

Bush's "Flip Flops" are size 15 extra wide.

Photoshoppers: Make a graphic of this!

5. bad idea
Because as soon as they decide to unveil Osama, this entire campaign is fucked. I'm not convinced they aren't going to use Osama as an October surprise.

6. Defeatist thinking
You wouldn't use this because they 'might' unveil Osama? You have to use everything within reach to destroy Bush. Osama is fair game even if they do unveil him. It is a flip flop of the worst magnitude. He wants to use 9/11, yet he has no interest in the pursuit of Osama, he blocks the 9/11 commission, he gets us into a war that had no reason, and then they have the nerve to tell the Spanish people that THEY aren't fighting terrorism well enough? These are victims and the 9/11 families are victims and these pukes just spit on them with glee.

8. No
I wouldn't use it because it's a huge, legitimate risk that it will backfire horribly.

9. I don't think of them as that omnipotent
I don't think Osama Bin Laden is going to be captured by these clowns. If I did think that, I would support your position, but I don't. Even the WMDs has been handled incompetently. If they were going to plant them, they would have done it sooner, not later.

I don't think either event will happen. I do wonder if they attempted to plant them and were caught, how the gutless Repugs in the Congress would handle it.

10. Nothing like cowardly campaigning...
...and that's exactly how you want Democrats to run for office: never offend anyone or take chances.

- Here's the problem: the mainstream media isn't going to do it...so SOMEONE has to make Bush's* two-faced policies an issue.

- Voters will respect a candidate that tells the truth without worrying about how he'll look to the enemy.

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

- Not just a flip-flop...a pathological liar is exposed.

12. correct, and once it starts, the silly and stupid media will play along
Even better would be some footage of his visits to veterans groups and the like while the next day that spending is cut. His visits are like visits from Lord Vader. At least Vader didn't blow happy sunshine up his victims' butts. ;)

13. Let's twist my statement a little further
I have no problem with making bold statements, but a little practicality is needed. If we based a campaign around those statements and then all of a sudden, bin Laden is captured, it's the end of the fucking game right there. We'd be FUCKED. Is that what you want?? Call me a coward all you want, but I don't push all my chips to the center of the table unless I feel good about my odds and about the potential payoff, and neither is there in this case. We're far better off nailing him on Iraq WMD comments.

14. It's not the focus, Bin Laden is not the focus
But it is the best way to get it started. Shape the campaign the way we want it. Once it gets momentum of any sort, you can use the strategy to focus on ANYTHING. It doesn't have to be Bin Laden all the time.

15. You obviously missed the point
Capturing Bin Laden wouldn't change what Bush* said. Using his own words is a powerful weapon and he definitely did a major flip-flop. I hope Bin Laden gets captured and the sooner the better but Bush* was inefficient in his attempts to capture him for over two years. That is a fact no matter what happens now.

7. Well, for this election he will definitely be using Binn Laden again
He hopes that the capture of Bin Laden will win him the election. Expect it about one month befor the election. Kerry needs to be super prepared for this, with speeches already in the can and memorized. Also expect WMDs to be found right before the election, probably within a week, so that they cannot be discounted until it's too late. Kerry certainly needs to be prepared for this one too.

11. Lots of leaks of late
I doubt they would be able to plant them without a major leak. That leak would kill them for sure. They don't have many friends at the CIA right now. I think we could get someone at the Pentagon to leak it as well. I doubt they will take the risk. It's close enough for them right now and they have such hubris that they feel they can win anyway.
